IPL hits kerala

Kerala joined the Indian Premier League (IPL) after the auction for the
new teams held here on Sunday. The IPL will feature 10 sides from 2011.
Rendezvous Sports World, a consortium of five companies, won Kochi with
a bid of $333.3 million. In fact, the worth of the two new teams is
more than the eight other teams put together.Kerala Cricket Association
Already took lease of Kochi Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium for the next 5
years.
